Stanton heads to 10-day IL; Boone LIED AGAIN / Yankees News (5/17)

 We’ve seen this one before, time after time after time after time the Yankees get hit by the injury bug. As of 1:52 EST the New York Yankees placed OF Giancarlo Stanton on the 10-day IL with a left quad strain, then they recalled RHP Albert Abreu from Scranton. Well we thought this wasn’t going to be bad because OUR MANAGER TOLD US IT WASN’T SOMETHING BAD, but here we are on May 17th 2021 still believing that Aaron Boone tells the truth. This was a quote from Aaron Boone yesterday, “It’s day-by-day. Again I don’t think it’s anything that’s overly significant but something that he, we are trying to get out in front of.” It looks like Rougned Odor will be activated in the next coming days and that’ll be good for the depth. But now I have to sit and watch MIKE FORD PLAY BASEBALL until Odor right now, and I could probably list off anything I would rather do then watch Mike Ford play baseball. This could be helpful for guys like Andujar, Gary, and soon enough Florial to help establish them as the guys again. All around a crappy situation and hopefully the best case scenario happens in which Stanton will be back next week but it’s the Yankees so you’ll never know.
