New York Giants: 3 routes Dave Gettleman can take on day 2

Despite Gettleman’s immense success at putting together a top 10 Giants defense in just 3 years of having the job, one key piece to building any great defense that has alluded him thus far in his Giant tenure is a dominant alpha male Edge Rusher. Lorenzo Carter, Oshane Ximines, to Markus Golden, you can’t say Gettleman hasn’t tried to address the edge rusher position despite it not paying out. Inter Azeez Ojulari Defensive End out of Georgia. Azeez is a dog with a killed outside jab move that he uses to perfection to get after the Quarterback. Leading up to draft night there were links between Azeez and the Giants at #11 so if the Giants can snag him up at pick #42 that would be one of the steals of the draft. Outside of Azeez Ojulari the only other pass rusher I would be in favor of taking at #42 would be Ronnie Perkins out of Oklahoma. Ronnie is an athletic freak with cat-like instincts. He plays the run to perfection and has a wide variety of pass rush moves. I’d be a happy camper with both Ronnie Perkins and or Azeez Ojulari.
