Heat Game Recap : Heat @ Hawks 4/23

Heat lose 118-103 to the depleted Hawks. Hawks were missing Trae Young, Clint Capela and other big names. This game was for the 5th seed. The winner also got the tiebreaker in the series. Must win game for the Heat and they blew it. The Hawks shot 53 percent from the field. Miami decided to not play any defense. Spolestra constantly brung out different zones that left everyone open for the Hawks. Miami played as Butler said a couple days ago “very soft”.

For the Hawks Bogdan Bogdanovic lead the Hawks with 21 points. John Collin had 20 points along with 8 rebounds. Danilo Gallinari and Brandon Goodwin both had 17 points. And Lou Williams had 13 points. Hawks bench outscored Heat bench 51-21. Heat bench continues to show its inconsistency some days they shoot well and play some sort of defense and other days they shoot bad and dont play games. This was one of those games. For the Heat Kendrick Nunn lead us with 21 points. Nunn has played really well as of late and has truly earned his starting role. Jimmy Butler had 19 points and Bam Adebayo had 16 points. Heat shot an underwhelming 35% from behind the arc and only managed just 14 points in the 4th quarter. This was a game that the Heat needed and they failed to do so. Now it’s time to bounce back vs the Bulls the next 2 games without Lavine. Should be easy right?
