76ers Game Analysis: 76ers @ Bucks 4/24

The 76ers go into an away game currently atop the East, looking to add more cushioning for their upcoming playoff run. As of writing this they are 39-20 with the Nets tied with them also at 39-20. The Milwaukee Bucks are third in the East with a record of 36-22, also looking to get higher in the ranks. As of right now the 76ers have two playoffs on the injury list, one being Ben Simmons listed as out with illness and the other being Furkan Korkmaz day-to-day. The Milwaukee Bucks go into this game with no one on their injury report. Two nights ago the 76ers lost to the Bucks 117-124 and are looking for a statement win against a contender in the East. Three keys to win this game for the 76ers are Joel Embiid making his presence known on both offense and defense, stopping the reigning MVP Giannis, and having Seth Curry have another big game.

Matt Slocum

Joel Embiid has been in and out of the MVP conversation all season. Joel is currently averaging 30 points per game and 11.1 rebounds per game in 32.1 minutes. Joel having a big night on offense, keeping up with his usual play is big, but his defense for this game has to be a step up. Joel is currently averaging 1.4 blocks per game, and he needs to continue this and go above and beyond against a smoking hot Bucks. Giannis has been going on a tear this season, averaging 28.5 points per game, 11.3 rebounds and 6 assists. Stopping the Greek Freak should be the 76ers first priority, and it most likely is. Last but not least, the actual splash brother Seth Curry needs to have a big game. Seth will come out of nowhere and score 20+, or he’ll have a dud of a game scoring in the tens. Tonight can not be one of those duds. He’s averaging 12.1 points per game, and he needs to have a 15+ point performance. I expect a win for the 76ers returning the favor to the Bucks, hope you enjoyed reading, Shaney out.
