Fantasy Football: Play Em’ Or Bench Em’ Week 9 Edition!

Welcome back to Play Em’ Or Bench Em’, Week 9 Edition! In this series, I’ll show my top five favorite players and my least favorite five players I’d play this weekend on fantasy football. Many may ask what my qualifications are? So, here it is: I am a 2x time ESPN Fantasy Football Champion. Back2Back Champion if we are being specific. I won in the only two years I played, so let’s get this started.

Play Em’ QB:

1. Deshaun Watson (HOU vs. JAX)- We know that Watson is an elite QB in the NFL on an atrocious team. This week he faces off against the Jaguars, I’d expect a great game for Watson. Jacksonville is not a good team and Watson has done great with the mediocre supporting cast that he has.
2. Drew Lock (DEN vs. ATL)
3. Matt Ryan (ATL vs. DEN)
4. Derek Carr (LV vs. LAC)
5. Josh Allen (BUF vs. SEA)

Play Em’ RB:

1. Dalvin Cook (MIN vs. DET)- Welcome back, Mr. Cook. We know that you were cooking that Packers defense last week and I think you’ll smoke this Lions defense as well. Start him, there should be no questions.
2. David Johnson (HOU vs. JAX)
3. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (KC vs. CAR)
4. Chase Edmonds (ARI vs. MIA)
5. James Connor (PIT vs. DAL)

Play Em’ WR:

1. DeAndre Hopkins (ARI vs. MIA)- NUKEEEEE! This guy is one of the best WRs in the NFL no question! Now he goes against this red hot Miami team, that will give him a weak opponent. I’d say start him, he guarantees a good game.
2. Stefon Diggs (BUF vs. SEA)
3. Juju Smith-Schuster (PIT vs. DAL)
4. D.K. Metcalf (SEA vs. BUF)
5. Mike Evans (TB vs. NO)

Play Em’ TE:

1. Darren Waller (LV vs. LAC)- DDDDDDARREN DESTROY! He’s going against a weak Chargers defense that has played quite badly, Derwin is out for the year as well so start him. Waller is not only a great player but has a weak matchup.
2. Noah Fant (DEN vs. ATL)
3. Travis Kelce (KC vs. CAR)
4. Evan Engram (NYG vs. WFT)
5. Rob Gronkowski (TB vs. NO)

Play Em’ D/ST:

1. PIT D/ST (PIT vs. DAL)
2. HOU D/ST (HOU vs. JAX)
3. NE D/ST (NE vs. NYJ)
4. NYJ D/ST (NYJ vs. NE)
5. NYG D/ST (NYG vs. WFT)

Bench Em’ QB

1. Ben DiNucci (DAL vs. PIT)- Sorry Mr. DiGucci but I would never suggest anyone to start you, especially when facing an undefeated team. Please, anything you do, do NOT start DiNucci!
2. Jake Luton (JAX vs. HOU)
3. Tua Tagovailoa (MIA vs. ARI)
4. Sam Darnold (NYJ vs. NE)
5. Teddy Bridgewater (CAR vs. KC)

Bench Em’ RB

1. Ronald Jones III (TB vs. NO)- It’s not happening this week Rojo, not against that Saints DL. Maybe Fournette has a big week but I’m hesitant on starting Rojo.
2. Rashad Penny (SEA vs. BUF)
3. Mike Davis (CAR vs. KC)
4. Jonathan Taylor (IND vs. BAL)
5. Alvin Kamara (NO vs. TB)

Bench Em’ WR

1. Darius Slayton (NYG vs. WFT)- I like Slayton, but not when Kendall Fuller is covering you. Fuller has arguably been the best CB in the NFL this year. I don’t think that Slayton is going to cook him so, bench him!
2. Corey Davis (TEN vs. CHI)
3. DJ Moore (CAR vs. KC)
4. Michael Thomas (NO vs. TB)
5. Tyler Lockett (SEA vs. BUF)

Bench Em’ TE

1. Dalton Schultz (DAL vs. PIT)- Schultz up against Minkah and Avery Williamson, I’d sit him. He may cook Williamson but he’s not cooking Minkah, it’s just not going to happen.
2. Chris Herndon IV (NYJ vs. NE)
3. Greg Olsen (SEA vs. BUF)
4. Dawson Knox (BUF vs. SEA)
5. Kyle Rudolph (MIN vs. DET)

Bench Em’ D/ST

1. CAR D/ST (CAR vs. KC)
2. WFT D/ST (WFT vs. NYG)
3. CHI D/ST (CHI vs. TEN)
4. BUF D/ST (BUF vs. SEA)
5. MIA D/ST (MIA vs. ARI)
