Welcome back to Play Em’ Or Bench Em’, Week 3 Edition! In this series, I’ll show my top five favorite players and my least favorite five players I’d play this weekend on fantasy football. Many may ask what my qualifications are? So, here it is: I am a 2x time ESPN Fantasy Football Champion. Back2Back Champion if we are being specific. I won in the only two years I played, so let’s get this started.
Play Em’ QB:
1. Kyler Murray (ARI vs. DET): Kyler is going against a bad and injured Lions defense. Desmund Trufant is out again and without him, expect DeAndre Hopkins to be wide open. Expect a field day for those two.
2. Aaron Rodgers (GB vs. NO)
3. Mitchell Trubisky (CHI vs. ATL)
4. Teddy Bridgewater (CAR vs. LAC)
5. Carson Wentz (PHI vs. CIN)
Play Em’ RB:
1. Miles Sanders (PHI vs. CIN): The Bengals Defense isn’t bad at all whatsoever, but they aren’t the best. Now, since they are playing Miles “So-Long” Sanders it isn’t going to get better. Start this man!
2. Johnathan Taylor (IND vs. NYJ)
3. Austin Ekeler (LAC vs. CAR)
4. Kenyan Drake (ARI vs. DET)
5. Dion Lewis (NYG vs. SF)
Play Em’ WR:
1. DeAndre Hopkins (ARI vs. DET): NUK Hopkins is the second number one guy on my list along Kyler “The Man” Murray that plays for the Cardinals. As I said NUK is facing an awful defensive group, it’ll be a field day for him and Kyler!
2. Amari Cooper (DAL vs. SEA)
3. Allen Robinson II (CHI vs. ATL)
4. Juju Smith-Schuster (PIT vs. HOU)
5. DK Metcalf (SEA vs. DAL)
Play Em’ TE:
1. Noah Fant (DEN vs. TB): Fant is a great young tight end facing a defense who hasn’t proved itself. Now, his matchup will be rookie Antoine Winfield Jr., who is good but he’s a rookie and isn’t experienced. Expect a good game from Fant, who I think is Gronk 2.0!
2. Jordan Reed (SF vs. NYG)
3. Logan Thomas (WFT vs. CLE)
4. Austin Hooper (CLE vs. WFT)
5. Jimmy Graham (CHI vs. ATL)
Play Em’ D/ST:
1. SF D/ST (vs. NYG)
2. CLE D/ST (vs. WFT)
3. ARI D/ST (vs. DET)
4. NYG D/ST (vs. SF)
5. IND D/ST (vs. NYJ)
Bench Em’ QB
1. Daniel Jones (NYG vs. SF): Jones is facing a battered up defense but they are a stable group with a great coach! The Giants don’t necessarily have a great offense to overcome it so…… It ain’t happening this week, chief. Sit him!
2. Josh Allen (BUF vs. LAR)
3. Drew Brees (NO vs. GB)
4. Nick Mullen (49ers vs. NYG)
5. Dak Prescott (DAL vs. SEA)
Bench Em’ RB
1. David Johnson (HOU vs. PIT): Johnson is a good RB but is now facing T.J. Watt, Cameron Heyward, and a great DL this week. That is a premiere defense. Sit.
2. Ezekiel Elliot (DAL vs. SEA)
3. David Montgomery (CHI vs. ATL)
4. Josh Jacobs (LV vs. NE)
5. Nick Chubb (CLE vs. WFT)
Bench Em’ WR
1. Stefon Diggs (BUF vs. LAR): Diggs is going to face Jalen “Reckless” Ramsey! JR is a great CB, maybe the best. Yes he is coming off of a great game and is due for a good game, but not versus Ramsey!
2. DJ Moore (CAR vs. LAC)
3. Cooper Kupp (LAR vs. BUF)
4. Robert Woods (LAR vs. BUF)
5. Kenny Golladay (DET vs. ARI)
Bench Em’ TE
1. TJ Hockenson (DET vs. ARI): Hockenson is facing Budda Baker, who is a great safety. Baker also just got paid, so he wants to prove himself. I personally wouldn’t start T.J.
2. Evan Engram (NYG vs. SF)
3. Jared Cook (NO vs. GB)
4. Jonnu Smith (LV vs. MIN)
5. Darren Waller (LV vs. NE)
Bench Em’ D/ST
1. WFT D/ST (vs. CLE)
2. NYJ D/ST (vs. IND)
3. LV D/ST (vs. NE)
4. DAL D/ST (vs. SEA)
5. DEN D/ST (vs. TB)
