Preview: NY Jets versus the SF 49ers! Where to watch, what to expect and can the Jets succeed?

Welcome to Week 2, Jets fans. Here comes another bloodbath for the Jets or maybe not. This weekend the Jets will go up against the defending NFC Champions, San Francisco 49ers. Both head into this one at a disappointing 0-1 record. The Jets are the underdogs going into this one.

Niners Preview:

The Niners came close to winning Super Bowl 54 until Patrick Mahomes caught them in their steps and led the Chiefs to win the SB, 31-20. Last week, Arizona came into San Fran and beat them 24-20. So both teams are coming into this Week 2 matchup with L’s. However, the Niners are the better team until the injury bug came around. Kittle, Sherman, Deebo, James, and Verrett are all confirmed out versus the Jets. Dee Ford was just downgraded from questionable to OUT! However, Aiyuk, Garland, and Witherspoon are expected to play. Kittle is the offense when the WRs are injured, so it’ll be tough for Jimmy G. However, he still has that three-headed monster in the backfield with Mostert, Coleman, and McKinnon.

Jets Preview:

As usual, the Jets had hype hopes this year after finishing great last year. However, it was a big let down last week. The Jets lost to the Bills, 27-17. Now on paper, it’s not a bad loss, but if you watch the game, it was so winnable. Unless you have an incompetent coach like Adam Gase. Then, you’re most definitely taking that L. Just like the injury bug impacted the 49ers, and it didn’t forget about us. Crowder, Bell, Mims, Cashman, and Flacco have all been ruled out. Perine, Basham, and Williamson are all questionable, but Perine plans to play. The other two are undecided. I’m going to be optimistic and say I think this team has a chance. The 49ers offense doesn’t have their best players in Deebo and Kittle. So, Maye will have another field day with not having to face Kittle. We get to see Becton go against a formidable opponent in Bosa, and he’ll face DeForest Buckner or Justin Houston next week. I think Becton could take on Bosa, but we’ll see. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!
