Fantasy Football Special: Play Em’ Or Bench Em’ Week 2!

Welcome to the new series. In this series, I’ll show my top five favorite players and my least favorite five players I’d play this weekend on fantasy football. Many may ask what my qualifications are? So, here it is: I am a 2x time ESPN Fantasy Football Champion. Back2Back Champion if we are being specific. I won in the only two years I played, so let’s get this started.

Play Em’ QB:

1. Aaron Rodgers (GB vs. DET): Rodgers is going against a batter Lions defense. Their best cornerbacks are out and without them, who’ll cover DeVante Adams. Expect a field day for ARod.
2. Patrick Mahomes (KC vs. LAC): With only his skill alone he’s on this list, and since he’s facing LAC it’s even better. Yes, their defense is great but Derwin is out, and with Derwin out; Kelce will have a backup guarding him.
3. Josh Allen (BUF vs. MIA)
4. Drew Brees (NO vs. LV)
5. Mitchell Trubisky (CHI vs. NYG)

Play Em’ RB:

1. Christian McCaffrey (CAR vs. TB): The Tampa Defense hasn’t proved they are stable. Now, since they are play Run CMC it isn’t going to get better. Start this man!
2. Johnathan Taylor (IND vs. MIN): Taylor is getting the spotlight this week! The Viks defense is good but they need Hunter and until they get Hunter I’ll start Taylor. This kid is also explosive and is due for a big game.
3. Benny Snell Jr. (PIT vs. DEN): With Conner injured, Snell is going to get a lot of looks. This kid is good versus an injured Denver defense. Look to start this kid.
4. Ezekiel Elliot (DAL vs. ATL)
5.. Derrick Henry (TEN vs. JAX)

Play Em’ WR:

1. Davante Adams (GB vs. DET): Tae is the second number one guy on my list along ARod. As I said, Tae is facing a broken cornerback group, it’ll be a field day for him!
2. Julio Jones (ATL vs. DAL): The man, the myth, the damn legend; Julio Jones is facing a sad Dallas cornerback group just like Tae. Jones will most likely face rookie Trevon Diggs.
3. Allen Robinson II (CHI vs. NYG)
4. Amari Cooper (DAL vs. ATL)
5. Emmanuel Sanders (NO vs. LV)

Play Em’ TE:

1. Darren Waller (LV vs. NO): Waller is a good tight end facing a good defense and his matchup will be Malcolm Jenkins, who is good but he’s old. Expect a good game from Waller.
2. Travis Kelce (KC vs. LAC): Travis “The Man” Kelce! He’s going to go up against a backup safety since Derwin is out for the year and he’s going to have a good game. Play him.
3. Mark Andrews (BAL vs. HOU)
4. Jared Cook (NO vs. LV)
5. Jonnu Smith (TEN vs. JAX)

Play Em’ D/ST:

1. BUF D/ST (vs. MIA)
2. WSH D/ST (vs. ARI)
3. SEA D/ST (vs. NE)
4. TEN D/ST (vs. JAX)
5. KC D/ST (vs. LAC)

Bench Em’ QB

1. Carson Wentz (PHI vs. LAR): Wentz is facing a great defense in Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey. It ain’t happening this week, chief. Sit him!
2. Ryan Fitzpatrick (MIA vs. BUF): Fitzmagic became Fitztragic quickly. Now, he’s facing one of the best defenses in the league, sit him!
3. Tyrod Taylor (LAC vs. KC)
4. Jimmy Garoppolo (49ers vs. NYJ)
5. Gardner Minshew II (JAC vs. TEN)

Bench Em’ RB

1. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (KC vs. LAC): CEH is coming off of a great game and is now facing Ingram and Bosa this week. That is a premiere defense. Sit.
2. Kenyan Drake (ARI vs. WFT): Drake is going to face another great defensive line in Sweat, Allen, Young and Kerrigan. I’d sit him.
3. Melvin Gordon III (DEN vs. PIT)
4. Dalvin Cook (MIN vs. IND)
5. Raheem Mostert (SF vs. NYJ)

Bench Em’ WR

1. Robert Woods (LAR vs. PHI): Woods is going to face Darius Slay Jr. who is a great CB. Yes he just got paid and is due for a good game, but not versus SlayDay!
2. Terry McLaurin (WFT vs. ARI): ScaryTerry usually lives up to his name, but he’s facing Pat Pete who is a big time challenge. I wouldn’t start him.
3. Tyler Lockett (SEA vs. NE)
4. Will Fuller IV (HOU vs. BAL)
5. Stefan Diggs (BUF vs. MIA)

Bench Em’ TE

1. Jordan Reed (49ers vs. NYJ): Reed is facing Maye, who had a career game last week. I personally wouldn’t.
2. Evan Engram (NYG vs. CHI): Daniel Jones clearly showed last week he doesn’t want to feed Engram. I believe it’ll be a repetition.
3. Zach Ertz (PHI vs. LAR)
4. Mike Gesickt (MIA vs. BUF)
5. Logan Thomas (WFT vs. ARI)

Bench Em’ D/ST

1. TB D/ST (vs. CAR)
2. NO D/ST (vs. LV)
3. JAX D/ST (vs. TEN)
4. NYG D/ST (vs. CHI)
5. LAC D/ST (vs. KC)

Thanks for reading everybody. I hope this works for all of you! This has been Jose Calderon III with FiveBorough Dispatch. Have a great day, everybody!
