Nets have beaten the Big-3. Raptors Next?

Yes, it may be quite unbelievable, but believe it. The Nets beat the LA Lakers, Bucks and the Clippers without the help of Kyrie and KD. People stay sleeping on Brooklyn, but they will be the team to be in the East next year. Many ask when did they beat the Lakers; they beat them on March 10th, 2020, right before the COVID shutdown.

It was a good game, and it was before the Lakers clinched the 1st seed in the Western Conference, they lost by two, so it was a game they were trying to win. Now onto Milwaukee. It is true. The Bucks already had clinched the first seed in the East. Yet, Giannis still played in the first half and showed he wanted to win. However, if you’re going to say Giannis not playing is a big deal, you have to say Caris LeVert, Joe Harris, Jarrett Allen, KD, Kyrie, Spencer Dinwiddie, DeAndre Jordan, and Nic Claxton didn’t play, and the Nets still came out on top. It’s impressive, nonetheless. Our best players that game was Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot, Chris Chiozza, Rodions Kurucs, and Garrett Temple. Only Net fans know who those guys are. If you know who they are congrats.

Now, onto the Clippers. The Nets beat them as well. It’s an impressive win, and Caris showed he could be a leader of this team with 27 points against the Clips. He has been impressive this year and deserves the money he’s getting. Paul George and Montrezl Harrell didn’t play, but they beat a great team in Kawhi accompanied by a great surrounding cast. They led by 21 in the first quarter early on, and that was astonishing they even had the lead. “Joey Buckets” Joe Harris was splashing the three-shot with 25 points. Tyler Johnson right there behind him with 21.

The most underrated person on this team is the coach Jacque Vaughn. He’s been coaching his behind off. He’s led a mediocre lineup to be 5-2 in the bubble with wins against the Clips, Bucks, Wizards, Kings, and the Magic. Imagine what he can do with a healthy KD, Kyrie, Dinwiddie, Jordan, and Claxton. I get goosebumps just talking about it. The Nets could become a top team in the NBA once again. However, before next year the Nets need to play their playoff games. The way the standings are looking like they’ll play the two seed Raptors (51-19). They played the Blazers, and with their beat, B-Team only lost by 1 point. LeVert could be better than a 3rd star. As much as I love Vaughn, he should’ve drawn up a play on that last possession instead of telling LeVert to try to win the game. However, this team will be exciting. Chances are Vaughn will stay, or Lue will be hired. I’d be interested in Jeff Van Gundy, but the way Sean Marks is approaching this, he’s going to hire someone the players like. Whatever this team does, it must lead to success. This has Jose Calderon III with FiveBoroughDispatch; have a great, everybody!
