The Yankees win! They sweep the Braves in 2 easy games. In the first game, they started with a wild 8-0 lead, until the Braves rallied in the 6th inning. They brought the game closer and closer, and then Judge was taken out in the 6th inning as well. We end up winning 9-6. Later, Boone tells us this:
Then a day later he says this:
Boone tells us he’s ok, and now he’s out with lower-body tightness in game two. Knowing Judge and his injury history, chances are this could turn into something serious. However, the day later, Clint Frazier goes off when he got called up the day later. The kid went 3 for 4 with an HR in his first At-Bat and a single and double. Absolute beast, he has to start over Gardner. The perfect outfield is Judge, Tauchman (Share time with Hicks), and Frazier. Knowing Stanton being out, I’d be different if he was healthy. Yet, they have to give Frazier a chance. I would say put him at DH, but they won’t because Mike Ford is DHing now. In both games, Montgomery and Tanaka did their thing then were put in for too long and gave up some runs. Next is the Red Sox for four games and then the Rays the following day. This has been Jose Calderon III with FiveBoroughDispatch; have a great day, everybody!
