Cole vs Scherzer? Opening Day Matchup Revealed for the Bronx Bombers

Well most likely on July 23rd on prime time television we are gonna be getting Gerrit Cole’s Yankees vs Max Scherzer’s Nationals. Coming off a World Series win, the Nationals will need to prove that their World Series ring wasn’t a fluke by beating the fully operational death star. On the other hand you’ll have a team thirsty to get into the World Series and beating the defending champs can solidify that the Yankees are not a joke again. This story was first broken by the New York Post. This is gonna be big, two of the best pitchers in baseball going at it in the first game back. We’ll see the young stars come out as well, Aaron Judge, Gleyber Torres, and Juan Soto.

What could a win do for the Yankees: This could give them a psychological advantage going forward knowing that you beat the defending champs. I could assume that there won’t be a lot of hits but if there was ever an offense that could rock Scherzer it’s 100% the Yankees.A dominant performance from Cole can really help the Yankees become the threat they have always wanted to be.
