Per Shams Charania and Mike Vorkunov of The Athletic, Tom Thibodeau is the leading candidate to become the next head coach of the New York Knicks.
Tom Thibodeau formerly of the Minnesota Timberwolves is a coach renowned for his defensive philosophy that suffocates players, and if done perfectly shrinks the court for the ball handler and closes all passing lanes. However, Thibodeau is not the perfect coach he seemingly cannot rest his star players which leaves them beat up after games. Also, Thibodeau is a horrible offensive coach being ranked last in the league in points per game 2 out of 4 times while in Chicago. In conclusion, Tom Thibodeau would not be my first option considering some of the quality candidates out there but I wouldn’t mind if come October he is the head coach of the New York Knicks.
