New York Giants

3 New York Giants player who are set to breakout in 2020

Julian Love:

Despite Julian Love only starting a total of 6 games he flashed in his limited playtime. Racking up 35 tackles, 1 interception, and 1 forced fumble. Assuming the New York Giants do not draft a safety early in the draft Julian Love and Jabrill Peppers will be the starting Safeties of the Giants. In 2020 I’m expecting Love to be the starter from day 1.

Stat Predictions:

  • 84 Solo Tackles
  • 4 Interceptions
  • 3 Forced Fumbles

Daniel Jones:

When Daniel Jones was drafted in the 2019 NFL draft many fans wrote him off instantly due to his horrible statistics at Duke. However, since Daniel Jones came into the scene with his incredible debut start against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers he has not looked back posting 26 total touchdowns and 3027 yards in his rookie season. Despite the incredible rookie season Daniel Jones still has many things to work on such as ball protection, Jones led the league in fumbles fumbling 18 times.

Stat predictions:

  • 35 total touchdowns
  • 10 Interceptions
  • 7 fumbles

Darius Slayton:

With the departure of previous Wide Receiver, 1 Odell Beckham Jr in the 2019 offseason the New York Giants were in need of a new Wide Receiver 1 for rookie Quarterback Daniel Jones. Jones built a strong connection with rookie Wide Receiver out of Auburn Darius Slayton. Slayton popped showcasing his skill set as not just a field stretcher but a possible true Wide Receiver 1 putting up 48 receptions, 740 yards, and 8 Touchdowns. With the shakeup within the coaching staff in the 2020 offseason, the New York Giants have brought in Jason Garrett, former Dallas Cowboys Head Coach as new Offensive Coordinator. Garrett who we assume will be running the air Coryell system will give Slayton a lot more chances due to the Air Coryell offense focused on the ability to throw the deep ball.

Stat predictions:

  • 60 receptions
  • 1250 Yards
  • 10 Touchdowns
